Centropy in Brief

My name is Kevin Hunt and Centropy LLC is my young and growing web design and development company in the heart (or perhaps the ankle?) of Silicon Valley, in Santa Clara, California. I specialize in a selection of development and IT disciplines, including:

• Front-end web design and development: static, dynamic, or web application interfaces in HTML, CSS, Javascript
• Back-end web and application development: web application development using Ruby, Rails, PostgreSQL, MySQL, and so on
• Systems administration, deployment, configuration management, and architecture: almost anything you can think of, including Solaris, HP-UX, Redhat/Fedora/Ubuntu Linux, OS X, and the Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2)

I recently designed, developed and deployed an entire Web 2.0-style sellers' marketplace built entirely on open source foundations, including Rails, PostgreSQL, Apache Solr and several key geo-intelligence technologies (mapping, geolocation and reverse-geolocation).
